Well I just picked up a lathe for a screaming deal and just was wondering what the knowledge of pirate has to say about it. I already have the phase converter and have gotten the lathe running. I just dont really have any tooling so any suggestions on were to start acquiring the basics.

I have one of these at work, Great lathes quick change gearbox is good
Very accurate lathes when they are new, look after it and it will look after you.

asfor tooling get some high speed steel, a grinder and start learning then go to carbide you'll learn much more having to do it yourself. thats how I was taught back when I was at trade school

looks alot like harison makes it or they make harison. all the tags and quick change look simular as well as both of them come from england.
