I have the text online... gimme a minute.

These are at this time only STRONG recommendations, but the County has considered making them actual requirements.

Where have ya been, man? Sanitation on the Rubicon has been a big challenge for years, and a personal sanitation system has been recommended for some time... there are just too many people using the trail for everyone to dig a hole and bury the wast, even if people could be easily motivated.

Links to follow... plenty of good solutions exist, but to get your started, www.RoundEyes.com has several trail-proven systems with varying price points.

Here's details on the sanitation-induced Spider Lake closure: http://www.delalbright.com/Rubicon/spider.htm

Here's a multi-page discussion of sanitation reasons and options...

I hope this helps. It doesn't have to be expensive or complicated, but if you take a trip on the Rubicon, please pack it ALL out.

Do they inforce the red tail light? I don't see any buggies with them unless the buggies are also used for racing.
They could. Right now the primary focus seems to be on registration, but there is a lesser secondary focus on equipment tickets, as well. This is generally related to mudflaps (people can and do complain about debris being kicked up from the road and taking out their windshields), but it could easily extend to the brake light.

As noted above, these are at this time only STRONG recommendations, but the County has considered making them actual requirements.

Mudflaps aren't required for the trail... but fenders or flaps are required for Icehouse Road.

Thanks for picking up trash, BTW.... the trail looks damn good right now!
