hmm, well i may scratch the idea of the ford 44 then. REally want leaf spings up front.
Then use a HP D44 out of a '77 or earlier F150. The wedges are welded on and very easy to cut off. Then there should be plenty of room to weld on a set of perches. Swap to a set of Waggy knuckles and Chevy spindles/brakes and you're golden.
