Ok, so from what I've researched I can get a bolt on yoke 205 and swap shafts. Or I can get a SYE from Tom Woods. I think I'm going to have to go with a SYE since I can't find a bolt on yoke 205 around here. But my question is does anyone else make a SYE kit? Is there anyone out there wheeling a 205 with slip-yoke?

I stole my fixed yoke from a International devorced unit. Wile I was in there I took the front too as they are both 32 spline.
You should be able to find the hole case for next to nothing.

I may be wrong but are you refering to changing a slip yoke to a fixed yoke? If so then i ordered a new output shaft, yoke, bearing retainer and seals from ORU and i paid $200. I couldnt find one either.

Actually it's already on the truck with a TH350. I bought the truck set up already, but since it has no reverse I need to drop the tranny anyway and I just put Chevy 1/2 tons on the rear and lengthened my WB around 5-6 inches. So I figured since I need a new driveline anyway I'd get a bolt on yoke anyway. As far as pulling it from another 205 I haven't been able to find any around here so I'm kinda screwed.

Has anyone ever run a 2 piece drive shaft witha slip yoke? Or is that crazy ?

your 205 is the slip yoke type- its a piece of cake to convert to the fixed yoke pre 79 style -just get a donor unit and swap the out put- as for the 2 piece line with a slip no problem its better that way - run whats called a fixed yoke center section to a slip at your diff- or call me Jess @ High Angle Driveline 530-877-2875

Thanks for the info Jesse, I'll give you a call over the next few days for clarification. I've been looking for a donor unit for a while with no luck so I figured I would just go with a SYE. But now it sounds like I don't have to.

Tahnsk again,
