I have asked a few people, and i can't seem to find a kit for the 205. Is there some obscure company that makes one, or do i just have to do it myself?

any info appreciated...

you can do it yourself..

all you have to do is modify the front shifter rod if i remember right. there's an articile in peterson's how to do in. then just make you shifter levers.

thanks for the info, fellas... I was hoping i would be able to save time with a kit, but it looks like there's gonna be some fabbing either way.

Seattle - can you give me some more details about how to mod the D300 kit. I have installed on of those before on a CJ-7, and i'm not sure that it would be easy to make one work for a 205.

Thanks a lot...

you can buy the kit from offroad-design. they make the 203-205 doubler and a twinn stick conversion for the 205. check their website, pretty cool stuff!

You can get a Dana300 kit and modify it to work on your 205, that's what I'm going to do.

Curry sells it. It's the one used in the article BadDog referred us to.

Baddog (or anyone who performed the mod),

Question for you. I read the article and registered everything except step # 7, where they cut the finger off of the range shifter. What does that mean exactly? I can't tell they cut anything off in the pic.

Thanks,
Chris

There is a "finger" thing on the range rail that keeps the cross bar straight in the stock setup. It's like the lower leg of an "L" but on the end of the range rail. You'll know it when you see it...

Call Off Road Design. I just ordered their doubler kit and a triple stick. The design is still in the prototype stages, but I'm gonna try it any way.

DOES O.R.D. HAVE THE TRIPLE STICK YET. BECAUSE STEVE IS BUILDING MY DOUBLER AND HE SAID HE CAN'T KEEP A DOUBLER THERE LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE ONE. SO I TOLD HIM TO KEEP MINE TILL HE CAN. SO DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT HAVE A TRIPLE STICK.

what advantage would you have with a triple stick shifter?...seems to me there are only 2 axles to choose from there..so why 3?

Chaz - Go to OffroadDesign and read up on their doubler. It's two transfer cases mounted together, so hence the tree shifterz

THE REASON FOR THE TRIPLE STICK IS SO ON A DOUBLER SET UP YOU HAVE ONE ON THE 203 AND TWO ON THE 205. YOU CAN SHIFT THE FRT. IN AND OUT WHEN ON THE TRAIL ON THE 205. THE SHIFTER ON THE 203 IS SO WHEN YOU WANT TO GO TO 4 TO 1.
DO YA GET IT??
