i'm thinking about replacing mine and wonder if it's worth it. i have an 85 with 136,000+ miles. it looks like the o2 sensor is original.

for those that have replaced it.

did your gas mileage go up at all. <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">

No need to replace it unless it isn't working, and you'd know it if it wasn't <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I have a 85 with about the same amount of mileage. I just bought the truck and before i had it smogged i changed it. Its not that expensive ($35 from local parts store) and it took 5min to do it. Lets put it this way it .. it can only help ... <IMG SRC="smilies/usa.gif" border="0">

<FONT COLOR="Red"> I'd test it prior to just replacing it.. Check your service manual for the location of the "test connector" and for the expected voltage pulse reading. I've found that some high-milage O2 sensors become marginal. </FONT c>
