Witch axel do you recommend for having an off set pinion to put in a CJ-5 (Dana, ford????)

If you are looking for a 44 then look under a waggy because some of them have an offset 44.

waggy 44 works great, or if its to wide a TLC FJ40 works quite nice, wider than a stock CJ but not quite as wide as the Waggynear.

If you are using a Dana20 t-case you need a centered rear diff. Only the Dana18 and the quadratrac use offset rears in Jeeps.
If you are actually running the Dana18 then look for a waggoneer to get the offset rear axle.

What's the MAIN issue with running a centered diff with an off-set t-case (or vise-versa)? I'm putting a D60/70 combo under my D90, and my t-case is offset 6.5" to the right. I'm also extending the wb to 104" (rear 7"). I'm still offset by 6.5", but my friend that did the same thing with D44's has NO problems with the 6.5" offset and he's at a 100" wb. I know it's not optimal, but if the vibrations are no more than the 42" TSL's I'm going to run, who cares?

I believe I am using the wrong term. <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> What were going for is like the ford front D-44 with the pinion on top of the pumpkin. Like that but only in the rear I hope this helps. <IMG SRC="smilies/jester.gif" border="0">

If you want a hi-pinion rear you'll have to build one or pay someone to build it for you.

Eric got it. There's always a chance of finding a used one somebody else built. I did, but it was still expensive.
