I just put my 5.0 in my eb and is seems to spit oil out the dipstick and leak down the side onto the starter. Any one got any ideas why this would be happening. I do have the old dipstick in there and yes the thing is roasted but the old 302 didnt leak oil there?

You've got too much crankcase pressure. Check to make sure your PCV valve/s aren't clogged, lines from the PCV to carb run correctly or clogged.

My 351 did that after a rebuild even with the lines run correctly and everything looking good. I eventually had to let one of the PCV's evacuate directly to atmosphere.

just a question, The mustabg intake has a pcv on the back of the intake that I hooked up to the vac, and I put one in on the valve cover cause the hole was there to put one there. Should I just vent one, or plug the one on the intake, or use some combo of both. Which one do I use and do I need to vent the other side, just give me a little clairification so I can get this done.

You'll have to play with it a little and see what works for you. My 351 was supposed to have both hoses going to vacuum on the intake, but it wouldn't run right. So I put one to the intake and one to the atmosphere. If I plugged one, it would spit out the dipstick.

My bro's CJ on the other hand, can have 1 plugged and 1 to the intake and it's fine.

Just move the lines around till you find something that works for that engine, but ideally, you want both PCV's going to vacuum.

There are two vents to the crankcase one for the PCV, which pulls a vacuum on the crankcase and the other which lets fresh (filtered) air into the crankcase. The PCV valve is hooked to manifold vacuum (usually at the base of the carb on carbed, duh, motors) and the other one is plumbed into the air cleaner housing NOT a vacuum source.
