okay so finalyl got my truck out in the mud, sunk myself to where water got in and i think i got water in my oil or something because it was super black when i checked it.

drained the oil, picking up more tomorrow.. motor has been in for about 400 miles if that.

trans has 200 mlies and it seems pretty red, but is there a way to check for any water? how can i prevent it in the future, my vent tube is high enough, its just im still kind of shakey about it.

also since i've gone wheeling my oil rpessure has been lwoer, but im not leaking more then usual, at about 3k rpm i'd be at 60psi, now i barely go over 30psi..any ideas? what should i be runnning?

you should always drain your oil immediately after filling your crankcase with water.
Cause unless you drowned it in the bathtub, chances are there is going to be dirt in the water, something you don't want getting in between your bearings and crank.
So, if you drove the truck for a while after getting water in your crankcase, you might have accelerated your rod and main bearings from the crap that is now in your oil, resulting in your reduced oil pressure.

If you got water in your oil the color will be gray like cement.

If you got water in your tranny fluid it will look like pepto-bismal.

Make sure you run your t-case vent lines as high as possbile, then find the tranny vent hose on top of hte tranny right behind the bellhousing, run that as high as possible too.

While your at it, check your rear diff, that hose only goes to the bottom of the body, might want to extend it to the engine comaprtment or into the cab of the truck.

it idles at about 20psi, but when i hit the gas i'm at 40psi and at about 2500 rpm i'm at 60psi. does that sound about right?

it was pitch black when i took it out of the pit..not really sure, maybe i should run full syntec not the half? i mean it is a decent powered motor under stress with 37"s..my buddy is coming over who helped me build it and check it out..i may just change the seal and throw some 5w-30 full syntec in that i have laying around.
