not mine.

late model ford f-250 2wd owner wants approx 6" lift, and still
needs to be very streetable, and is used primarily as a dd/towrig.

any hints on what company to use for their lift-?

--thanks,

oh, hints on a decent-lasting 35" tire for said above truck.

I wouldn't lift it, unless the pimp'n look was REAL important to me and I was doing slower local towing only.

I want my tow rig to handle as best possible because I'm covering a lot of miles (at 78-83 mph) in a yr with a sizable trailer and my some important lives at stake.

I'm pretty sure you don't need 6" to run 35's- maybe on a 2wd you do. I find it hard to believe that a 6" lift will handle nearly as well when you need it to with a trailer behind you that weighs more than the truck.

My 315/70/17 BFG's have about 31k on them and about .200 tread left- best mileage I ever got on a SRW hopped up diesel (Dodge, 3500 no lift)

That said, people are doing it, but I like the handling I have now, the look is adequate and it is a DD:D

I suspected you felt that way. Don't forget Donovan- they are in SoCal. I'm a boat freak too- selling my 25' 100mph Daytona, that's the nose of my 28' Pantera in the pic.:D

My old roommate used a Fabtech 6" lift on his 2wd. He ran the metric version of 35 BFG AT's. He had a older style dodge pick up. It seemed to be stable, but i doubt I would trust it towing anything. It was a half ton as well though. I have heard Fabtech's quality has gone down the crapper recently but his hasn't fell apart yet so we'll see.

Side note- he is a forest fire fighter and need some lift to help out on the old logging trails, and he also wanted to pimp the ladies...
