Pros and cons on mounting your orbital directly behind your steering wheel?

Doesn’t matter, one con is longer hoses and having to route and protect them. Why not place it near where the steering box was and use the stock(ish) column and steering wheel? Just my .02

No column .. custom build tube chase tight on space

Then put it wherever you can, just run the lines smart as mentioned above.

I’d mount it on the dash bar and connect the steering wheel with a quick disconnect. Get some p clamps or a bolt on bracket for the lines. Post some pictures when you get it done.

If you can, mount it outside the cockpit. They put off allot of heat.
