The little bit of help I can offer is that the RE panhard that my buddy put into his TJ used a 5/8" bolt through the supplied rod end...the shank was probably 3/4" though

Load wise, any decent 3/4 shanked rod end should be fine as long as the rod end doesn't see any binding. That is when I see them fail.

I used a Qa1 xml10-12 heim on my fullwidth 60 in my eb and on my heep.
This one is 3-piece (I think) cromally and teflon lined. 3/4 shank 5/8" hole. The cage is stronge than the 3/4 varient. I believe the static load is 40,000lb.

I have broke my splines in the track bar incert before the joint.
My suspension and sterrinig use them too.
