Hey guys,

Is there a passenger drop t-case that will bolt to a NP435 without a custom adaptor? If you're curious, this is for a budget NP435 swap into a Jeep.

welndmn - You say any Chevy 205 will bolt up to a Ford NP435 with the Ford 435 to 205 adapter? I was told by the guys at Offroad Design yesterday that I needed a 1985+ Chevy 205 and that I would need to swap in a Ford 205 input.

Rogue Bronco - That sounds cool, but wouldn't I need another adapter to go from a Dodge NP435 to my 258 engine? I was going to use a T150 bellhousing to adapt my 258 to a Ford NP435.

Hey while we're talking about Ford trannies, what do you guys know about the Ford 4-speeds with OD that came in late 70s early 80s F150 and vans? Does that have the same front face bolt pattern as a NP435? Is it a good tranny?

A four speed with overdrive? You mean just like a 5-speed?? :flipoff2:

No, I mean a 4 speed where the third gear is 1:1 and the fourth is an OD gear. :flipoff2: They came in late 70s early 80s F150s and vans. Anyone have any experience with them?

BTW - thanks for the info on the NP435s!
