Simple question, hopefully a mechanic will reply.

Am installing a new oil pan gasket on my TBI 350. It's a Fel-pro Perma-Dry that reads:

"IMPORTANT: This molded rubber silicone gasket must be installed DRY without any chemical adhesive".

Seems straight forward, right? However I have heard that you should always put a dab of silicone at the four corners of the front and rear main seals. So, should I bolt it up dry per instructions or with dab per friends' recommendation?

Thanks. Would like to button this up this afternoon.

By adhesive they probly mean hi-tack or equivalent. This gasket is a one piece gasket correct? If so it doesnt require any rtv gasket material. I would check the corners to make sure their was enough meat left there to make up the gap that rtv does. If not use a little rtv.
