I know I'm a newbie so bear with me please. Why is the spare under the truck? I was told to get it out from under there for clearance.

Clifton's truck is just a mall poser anyway,
so it doesn't matter!
Thanks for posting pics zuk, too bad you missed axle alley afterward, you could have caught some good rollover action!

My spare is a 33/9.50" and I run 36"'s so it won't do me any good on a trail. I keep it incase I have a blow out on the road. If I cut one on a trail I'll just stick a bunch of plugs in it like I always did with BFG's. You don't cut SX's very often anyway and the tire hitting the rocks are the least of my worries, lately it's been tail lights.

We actually ran Axle Alley right after we left H2H... Dunaway was a BLAST to watch on the first 'fall. ZUK towed a rock buggy with one-wheel-drive (1 broken front axle and one broken rear u-joint) all the way from the first 'fall to the last... Sheeit!!! He used 3rd gear most of the way.

Hey ZUK, where's the pics from A.A.?... Or do I have to come over to your desk and beat them out of ya?

I would not call them our rocks. They were there when we arrived. We moved them before we left too.

Jack,
I don't recall saying they were "your" rocks, nor did I imply they were. I just said there were a lot of rocks down there and asked if you guys unstacked them so as to keep the trail challenging for future users. I would think you'd want a little more challenge and would have unstacked them yourselves BEFORE you started up the fall. Regardless, try not reading more into what was said than was there.

BTW, I read in another set of posts about H2H from Jambo that some in your group wondered what happened to the Jeeps that were behind you. Just an FYI, they spent the day unstacking obstacles AND opening new obstacles such as the previously unclimbed waterfall that is about midway through the trail. It's the one that's always got a pool of water at the base, is 6 foot vertical and where the old trail went up and around to the right on a loose dirt hill.

Hope that explains it.
Take care,
Sean

You stay at your own desk there Crashinaz....here's all 6 pics you snapped of Axle Alley. I don't think a pic can do that waterfall justice though...you'd have to be there to appreciate the thing.

Ya, I hadn't registered for anything on Saturday since I had planned to run H2H, but my girlfriend hadn't done Jawbreaker before so me and another guy decided to do it instead. We left much earlier than the scheduled Jawbreaker run but we knew a few of the guys scheduled to actually go with the group.

Next thing you know I was leading a group of about 16 vehicles (I think about 14 were actually supposed to be on the Jawbreaker run). The scheduled run only had 6 vehicles in it. I didn't mean to screw up the scheduled run but the whole thing just snowballed. Oh well.

We had a great time. Most of the group did the tough lines, nobody broke, and it only took us 2 hours to run the whole trail. It took us longer to drive to the trail head and back to camp than it did to run the trail. Weird for a Jambo run.

I saw your truck at the end of Axle Alley around 1 pm or so but you were no where around. We called it a day and were home by 2:30.

Sunday was a disaster, but that's another story.

Take care,
Sean

He was referring to Mark's post. So NOW who's "reading more into what was said than was there" ???

That's all fine and dandy, but PERHAPS keeping the the trail blocked for hours on end while unstacking rocks, etc would be a bit in considerate to the OTHERS who might like to run the trail? Afterall, there WAS a Jamboree in progress.

I will reiterate... If they were SO worried about the stacked rocks, they would have prerun the trail BEFORE the Jambo and removed the rocks at the APPROPRIATE time. They were still at "The Squeeze" trying to get a rig with a blown bead out when we were sitting at the last waterfall. A late member of our group could neither run the trail OR catch up with us due to this.

Crashinaz,
Perhaps you didn't realize it, but H2H isn't a Jamboree run or didn't you take the time to sign up or read your info packet?? Don't give me the "oh it's jamboree and we don't have time to...." Jack made time on his Jawbreaker run to unstack rocks. Why couldn't you on H2H? The group behind you certainly didn't need all those rocks and I doubt you did either. It really doesn't take that long to unstack rocks; boulders are a seperate issue

My apologies to Jack IF he was talking about Mark's post. However, my response wasn't rude in any way. I thought he was talking about my original post. If not, my mistake. Just a clarification: I'm not apologizing for anything I said-nothing I said was derrogatory-only for responding to a reply not meant for me. That's why I try and put people's names at the tops of my replys; less confusion.

As for your waterfall pic of Dan's truck: So, did he make it or not? That guy's face in the upper right hand corner sure looks like Dunaway. It also looks like he's sitting on his rear driveshaft skid. I'm not implying he DIDN'T make it; just curious.

Lastly, who exactly are you anyway? Remember a little tidbit of information before you start in with the stupid flip off fingers. I live where you live. I wheel the same trails. One day we may meet and when we do, I doubt you'll have wanted to start things off on the wrong foot. I know I wouldn't.

Take care,
Sean
