I finished the springover with a D44/D60 combo full width. Thanks for all your help in answering my questions over the past month. I still have more to go but the hardest part is done. The tires on it are 32" and I hope to fit 36" Hummer military OZ tires on it with Hummer wheels. Currently It has stock springs with Specter 2" longer shackles. I also have a 3" body lift installed that will go but was helpfull in working on the motoer tranny install. Actually I thought about just cutting it down to 1" to give me a little more height with out being too top heavy. So what do you think. Will the 36's fit if I remove the body lift or shorten it a little?

I'd love to do the run but I cant get any time off work. My parents live in Pollock Pines so it wouldn't even be a problem to come up a day early, but not this year. I will just drool all over the pic's from the run when you post them.

cant even get time off with that "death" in the family

there should be tons of pics.

36's will tuck fine in the front with some trimming. they will probably fit in the rear but there will be some rubbing goin on during compression. you can make extended bump stops to keep it to a min.

Should I keep the body lift in or just toss it? Also I could put in some add-a-leafs that I have lying around that are good for about 2".

Leave the add-a-leafs out of the picture. You will have too stiff of a ride with them and you will probably loose some flex.
Stuff the 36" tires under it, wheel, trim what is necessary. If no trimming is necessary then I would pull the body lift, wheel, and then trim wherever necessary.. Although I love my sawzall

BTW, are you planning on keeping those nice shiny rims on the thing?????

I am trying to get a set of 5 hummer wheels right now. They guy has a set of new ones without the gasket's between the two halves (older 2 piece style). I know that I can use silicone but I would rather get the gaskets and use the silicone for trail use only. So no real fears of being too top heavy with the body lift? Also anyone know where I can get the rear window weather stripping and some new bodymount bushings. The body lift is for a K5 blazer since that chasis are so alike. I could probably use the same style body bushings.

Rear window weatherstip? Ha Ha Ha. Good Luck. Actually I'm doin' some research into getting some made for all the other little piggy's out there.

I'd ditch the body lift. You're getting pretty vertical.

I just ordered some bulk weatherstrip from J.C. Whitney that matches pretty well. If it works out OK I'll give everyone the part number. I also get my 36's tomorrow and I'll take some pic's after they're mounted.

Yeah Josh, let us know if the weatherstrip works. I thought you were talking about the moulded weatherstrip where the tailgate meets the rear window. AFAIK its made out of unobtainium.
