I finally got my red star, so I thought I would post a couple pictures of my sami. I paid $150 for it and all that really kept it from running was a busted u-joint and wiring harness that got tore up from the spinning driveshaft.

Hey, those pictures have got to be fake. Everybody knows the sun NEVER shines in Oregon :D

Seriously, looks good. Cheap too. What is the total investment?

The pics of it on the 33's where taken in about Augest of last year, of coars its also been VERY dry this winter.

As for how much is invested, lets see...

$150 for the sami

$50 for a new driveshaft

$465 for RRO 6" SPOA (waste of $$ in my opinion)

$699 for wheels and tires

about $1000:eek: for engine rebuild and weber (should have gotten a 16V!)

about $750 for 4.57's, roadless spool, lockright, all installed. (should have just gotten toyota's or D44's)

I think thats all, so about $3100.00:eek: Whow, things sure add up fast!

sweet deal so if you roll it you wont really have anything into the body and all of the goodies can be switched over to another zuki with spare parts galore i have a buddy here in boise with 5.12 hybrid axles that has rolled 2 zuks in the last 6 months he has swapped em (axles) from zuk to zuk and now he makes money with his own personal salvage yard selling what is left of the rolled ones

Ya, there are still a couple of other things I would like to get though. Like I would like to find some wrangler springs and put those on (and get rid of those very tall 6" perches). I also need to get a front roll cage and some new seats. Oh ya, and get a new top. Then it should be ready to go.:)

Bastard! :flipoff2: I had an '86 lined up for 1000 bucks and some son of a bitch bought it out from under me. I've been searching but have only seen 2 others for sale since then. Another 86, hardtop, they want 2600 for it, and a 94 with only 38k original miles, one owner, but they want 4500 for that one. Soon I hope...soon...

Nice zuk

If anyone wants to help me keep the cost down of this buildup, I am still looking for a couple of things for cheep;)

I need the following:

a good working 4wd light switch (switch that goes on the t-case that makes the nifty litle 4wd light in the dash light up)

glovebox door with latch for an '86

the little c-channel thingy that attaches the soft top bow to the body.

and I need 2 of the little cup thingies that go behind the inside door handle to make it look purdy inside:D

Now someone must have these that they want to give away for shipping costs.:p
