Ive got two diffs taken apart and mixed up. Both have 10 pinion teeth. And Ive got two ring gears, a 41 and a 39. Does that mean the pinion is the same on a 3.90 and a 4.10? Just different rings? That would mean the pitch is different right? How can I know Im putting the right one in?

thanx again

You got me confused now. Only thing I can say is if that is true, then yo need to roll the pinion over the ring gear to see which one meshes correctly. Other than that. Would be the first I have heard of different pitches for ratio change. I cant get the numbers to work out.

Early 4.10 are 37 ring, 9 pinion. Later ones are 41 and 10.
Perfect todd!!!! I have another 37 and 9 that I already ruled out! That answers my question. Thats why I always call them 4.11 and other ppl call em 4.10's! I owe you a couple coldies when I see you tomorrow. :D
