I'm putting axles off of an '87 YJ onto my '93 YJ. It should be a painless swap, everything should bolt right in.

My only area of concern right now is the pinion yoke U joint sizes. I've been told that different year YJ's used different size u-joints at the pinion yoke.

Does anyone know, or know how I can find out if '93 and '87 year YJ's used different sized U-Joints there?

Thanks!

The u-joint should be 1310s. You can measure the distance from cap-to-cap to see check it.

1310= 3 7/32" cap to cap.
1330= 3 5/8" cap to cap.

I got that info from here.
