Doing some plumbing.
This is the area where the EVAP canister used to be. No skid plates needed if it isn't there anymore.
Cut hole + cheap Amazon aftermarket Jeep parts. I wasn't thinking and cut the notch on the wrong side. Had to cut the other side also. I wanted the door to open towards the front so it wouldn't flap open on the highway, but Due to the angle of the dangle I had to mount it with the hinge at the rear. Dang Jeep fuel doors are on the drivers side.
Seriously though, I google'd long and hard trying to find an aftermarket fuel door that wasn't astronomically expensive. Then I stumbled upon these Wrangler fuel door covers for ~$15 on Amazon.
Almost looks like it was supposed to be there.
Filler neck connection on the inside.

Next up is building a cover for the fuel tank on the inside.
