I started my bumper this week, my first cardboard mock up died when i left it on the truck out side and it got raind on, but it gave me the look I was looking for, also I didnt want to have a winch hanging out on the front so I installed a reciver and I will attach the winch to that,I really like the look of the plated bumper so when I started mocking up I noticed that i was unable to install the pin and key on the recever , so i disigned a spring loaded pin that can be reached from the passenger front wheel well.

Your right, Thank you to the person who got my brain spinning for my bumper, I get most of my inspiration from Pirate, but I thought that was the whole Idea of the forum, If not then let’s delete the bible that every one tells every one to go search.............

I hope that any one who does not want to permanently mount their winch up front and tries to build a clean plated bumper will incorporate the pin design that I copied off of a cookie machine I did some electrical work on last summer.

That latch is cool, sort of what I did on my first flatbed tailgate, secojd one is the same but it is inside the tube.
