The RockBrawler™ II is the latest evolution in JK rear bumpers, incorporating many features requested by customers, and product improvements born of real world use and testing of the original RockBrawler™. This bumper combines the best features to maximize performance on the toughest trails with some of the more refined traits not normally needed on a dedicated rock crawler. Its most prominent feature is the all new RockBrawler™ II Tire Carrier, which connects to the tailgate for easy, single-action opening. It's also slightly wider and deeper than the orignal RockBrawler™ for increased corner protection, and features an integrated hitch.




Integrated Single-Action-Open Spare Tire Carrier
The RockBrawler™ II Spare Tire Carrier's Single-Action-Opening feature is a huge convenience for when you're trying to open the tailgate and tire carrier with one hand, when you've got an armload of gear or groceries in the other. Rather than latching to itself, the RockBrawler™ II tire carrier is tethered to the tailgate so that they open and close in tandem. A custom designed tie-rod assembly, bumper mechanism and Tramp Stamp™ keep the two pieces perfectly aligned when open, but tight and rattle-free when closed.

Tire Carrier Fabricated Plate Steel Construction
The RockBrawler™ II Spare Tire Carrier is fabricated entirely from CNC laser cut, precision brake-formed plate steel. The pieces are expertly welded together in a specially designed assembly fixture to ensure consistent fit and quality. A web gusset design is cut into the corner of the tire carrier to provide a little Poison Spyder flare.

Extreme Duty Hinge Assembly
The extreme duty hinge assembly includes a precision CNC machined spindle and housing, with a pair of high quality Timken tapered roller bearings to provide smooth operation under the heaviest loads A spindle seal at the bottom of the hinge assembly keeps your lubrication in, and dirt and water out. The hinge assembly is capped with a CNC machined billet aluminum cap with the Spyder emblem machined in.

2-Way Adjustable Tire Mount
The tire mount is adjustable up and down, as well as in and out, to accomodate a wide variety of tire sizes up to 39". The adjustability allows the tire to be mounted as low as possible for any tire size, to keep a low center of gravity.

License Plate Relocation Mount
The included license plate mount places the license plate at the center of the spare tire, for those who choose to move it there. Unlike the original RockBrawler™ rear bumper, the RockBrawler™ II Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier does NOT obstruct the placement of the stock license plate frame, so the installer may choose to leave it in the stock location or move it to the center of the rear tire using the included bracket. We recommend relocating it, as the stock mount sticks out significantly from the side of the Jeep and is just begging to be torn off by a rock along the trail. If relocating the license plate, our License Plate Delete Cover and LED License Plate & 3rd Brake Light (each sold separately) will be useful in completing the relocation.

Multi-Faceted Bumper Design
The RockBrawler™ II Rear Bumper's high clearance, multi-faceted design provides the best possible departure angles and corner obstacle clearance. Its appearance is streamlined and sexy, not like the squarish, boxy shape of many other bumpers on the market. The RockBrawler™ II Rear Bumper is slightly wider and wraps around the Jeep's corner and farther forward, when compared to the original RockBrawler™ Rear Bumper. This provides an increased degree of protection from corner impacts on the trail.

The Poison Spyder Bolt-Together Trail Cage Kit (patent pending) is the strongest add-on cage you can bolt in to your JK. Designed to strengthen your Jeep's existing roll bar, the Poison Spyder Trail Cage Kit fortifies the driver and passenger area by adding a robust cage fabricated from CNC laser notched, NC-bent DOM steel tubing and CNC laser cut, precision brake-formed 3/16" plate steel components. When shopping for a cage kit for your Jeep, make sure that any product you are considering uses stronger DOM, "Drawn Over Mandrel" structural tubing rather than the cheaper welded seam tubing that some manufacturers use.


A Better Bolt-Together Method
olt-in cage kits need a way to join the structural tubing components of the kit. Popular kits on the market today use either a knuckle-style clamp or a simple tube insert with crush bolt. Both methods have their weaknesses. For instance the large knuckle style clamps may look beefy, but they're still pre-loading a clamping force onto a rather thin wall tube, creating a dangerous stress riser right at the junction of two tube members—where the cage is likely to see its biggest stresses. Poison Spyder uses a system of CNC machined, solid steel interlocking tube couplers that are placed inline along the run of a tube member, rather than at the joints of the cage. These tube clamps are placed where the cage is not likely to see side loads, however they are still stronger than the knuckle style clamp in a side-loading situation. At the tube junctions are the high quality, laser-notched, professionally welded tube junctions you would find in a custom fabricated cage. The interlocking tube couplers are also lower profile, with the same outside diameter as the tubing itself, so it yields a sleeker, less "bolt-in" appearance.





Full-Height A-Pillar Assembly
The A-Pillar section of the Poison Spyder JK Trail Cage Kit extends all the way to the floor of the JK with a single piece of CNC laser cut, precision brake-formed 3/16" plate steel. The A-Pillar hugs the contours of the Jeep's dash ends perfectly, making the best use of the limited space available for an A-Pillar that does not hinder legroom or ease of entry. The A-Pillar bolts not only to the floor, but to the forward door post via a 1/2" thick strengthening rib, and also to the dash structure itself. The lower end of the A-Pillar is fortified with heavy duty gusseting. Competitors' cage kits either do not include full-height A-Pillars (stopping at the bottom of the dash) or require the purchase of a separate bolt-on lower piece.

Full DOM Tube Door Headers
The Poison Spyder JK Trail Cage Kit includes full DOM replacements for the cheap stock header bars. The DOM tube structure of the header bars is integrated into the overal cage design to form a complete, well thought-out cage structure. Some competing bolt-in cages retain the use of the stock header bars, clamping the added-on components to the weak thin wall stock tubing.

DOM Tube Dash and Windshield Crossbars
The Poison Spyder JK Trail Cage Kit includes DOM tube crossbars just above the dash and at the top of the windshield, to provide structural rigidity and side-load strength to the cage. The upper windshield crossbar is compatible with the popular sPOD power disctribution system switch panel, as well as the OE sun visors. The dash bar tighltly hugs the top of the Jeep's dash, but is compatible with the factory tweeter speakers. By using Poison Spyder's interlocking tube coupler system, these horizontal members of the cage bolt together while preserving the strength of a traditional welded cage.

Plate Steel Center Stringer
The center overhead stringer on the Poison Spyder JK Trail Cage Kit is fabricated from CNC laser cut, brake-formed 3/16" plate steel. Other cages on the market use two pieces of tubing for the center stringers, but Poison Spyder's 3/16" plate steel piece provides ultimate overhead protection, great looks, and a convenient flat mounting surface for items like CB radios, switches, dome lights, etc. The top of the stringer "box" is open, for easy access for wiring, or as a convenient place to store maps under a soft top.

Optional Entry Grab Handles
Entry Grab Handles may be added to your JK Trail Cage Kit, by selecting it from the options when adding to your cart. These handles are NC-bent, 1.25" OD DOM tubing, and designed to aid ease-of-entry as well as provide a solid grab point for driver and passenger while four-wheeling. The handles will come already welded to the Trail Cage.

MIG or TIG Welded
Poison Spyder's signature MIG welds are widely recognized as the best looking welds in the industry. For some, however, the lower profile, cleaner look of TIG welds may be desired. TIG welding is a higher skilled, more time-consuming process so there is an up-charge for this option.

Replace your JK's weak stock transmission crossmember with Poison Spyder's Extreme Duty Crossmember! This ultra-beefy crossmember is constructed of two pieces of CNC laser cut, precision brake-formed 3/16" plate steel. Check out the damaged stock crossmember in the photos below. When getting high-centered on the rocks, with the entire 5,000+ pounds of a trail-ready JK resting entirely on the crossmember, it can tend to bend upward in the middle, or as we say, "Taco". The double-wall sides of the Poison Spyder Extreme Duty Crossmember put the extra strength where its needed most to prevent the Taco-effect—in the side walls of the crossmember.



The 3/16" (.188" thick) top plate and bottom plate provide far superior protection against dents and bends than the stock crossmember, which is made of a piece of 1/8" (.125" thick) and 14-gauge (.083" thick) stamped sheetmetal. Incredibly, the Chrysler engineers decided to put the much thinner 14-gauge piece along the bottom, making it crumple at the mere sight of rocks. The steel used in the Poison Spyder crossmember is 33% thicker on the top plate, and 2½ times thicker on the bottom plate. And the 3/16" steel plate of the Poison Spyder Extreme Duty Crossmember has brake-formed corners all the way around—there are no welds on the box corners.

Inside the crossmember, Poison Spyder fabricators have welded in four DOM tubing spacers to provide crush-proof strength at the crossmember mounting bolt locations. These are made of .120" wall DOM tubing. Compare that to the stock crossmember, which uses stamped sheetmetal spacers.

The Poison Spyder Extreme Duty Crossmember matches the external dimensions and bolt locations of the stock crossmember. All stock skid plates that were attached to the stock crossmember attach to the Poison Spyder Extreme Duty Crossmember. Any other manufacturer's aftermarket skid plate system that attached to the stock crossmember should still attach to the Poison Spyder Extreme Duty Crossmember.

The Poison Spyder Extreme Duty Crossmember is shipped as bare steel, ready for you to paint or powder coat in the color of your choice. This part number is for year model 2007-2011 JK's, both 2-door and 4-ddor, with either manual or automatic transmission.

The Brawler MID front bumper for JK is a "mid-width", high clearance bumper designed to combine off-road performance with full features. This bumper is fabricated from 3/16" plate steel, CNC laser-cut and precision brake-formed into a low profile, high clearance design. The ends of the bumper extend farther outboard than our Brawler Lite bumper, to about half the width of the tires. This provides increased brush protection for the grille corners and fenders, and gives the Jeep a more "expeditionary" look than our more rock-crawling specific bumpers.



The Brawler MID has all of the features that made the Brawler Lite such a popular bumper, including:
  • Constructed entirely of 3/16" CNC laser cut, brake-formed steel plate
  • Optional Brawler Bar made of 1-1/2" .120 wall DOM Tubing
  • Recessed mounts for factory fog lamps (or use our adapters for Rigid Industries Duallys)

The Poison Spyder Customs BFH™ rear bumper is designed for those hardcore four-wheelers who value strength, simplicity and function. This bumper was literally "Built For the Hammers" with the best ground clearance and departure angle possible. It is no wider than the Jeep's rear body tub, with angled facets to improve its ability to slide over the rocks. The BFH is CNC laser-cut from high strength 3/16" plate steel, then precision brake-formed for an exact fit.

The basic rear BFH bumper has no provisions for a spare tire carrier. This bumper is intended for those hard-core wheelers who either wheel without a spare or strap the spare down into the bed of the Jeep. It may also be compatible with the OE tailgate-mounted spare tire carrier, depending on the size of the spare tire.

The optional Recovery Shackle Tabs are machined from 1" thick plate steel to provide a secure attachment point for 3/4" recovery shackles. These tabs are specifically engineered to match the angles of the BFH™ bumper to result in zero loss in departure angle.

NOTES: Install requires cutting of stock frame rails! Bumpers are shipped as bare steel.
