I'm talking about the product that replaces the YJ vacuum with a cable that goes to the cab. You then manually engage/disengage the axle.

I was thinking that this in effect could give you 2wd Low range. You could throw your t-case into 4 lo, but not engage the disconnect on the axle.

Does it really work that way? What if you're locked up front??? Your transfer case is engaged, your driveshaft is spinning, and just because the passenger side shaft isn't spinning, the driver's side would...thus your front would still be pulling.

Is this correct?

Yes. I have that same set up, and it's like having 3 wheel drive. Good for reducing turning radius, but that's about it.
