Where'd you go today? (or yesterday, or last week....)

Had 90 minutes to waste yesterday aft so I headed East to Wagon Wheel, NM to look around.

Found this big arse pile of reclaimed asphalt.

Found a nice dirt road...

...that 11 miles in, ended with many "Private road. Do not continue" signs at this ranch...

...so I flipped around and headed for some refreshment. :grinpimp:

First race weekend and I at least did the practice day, Friday. :D Not use to riding on a track in 40ish* day. It did get to 60 in the afternoon, but it was a cold track most of the day. Better than being at work though. :flipoff2:

That looks like fun! A cold track brings a whole new set of fears to slow ya down, that devil 'traction' is always near!

Thats a 400 right? What series do you ride in? I'm seriously considering doing a year in WERA or AHRMA and need someone to talk sense into me:laughing:

Ya, I was way slower than “normal” because of the cold. I switched tires to the Bridgestone R11 and they stuck to the ground like glue, though.

No. It’s a 300, so I’m in ultra lightweight. The 400s are running in the 500 twins and doing quite well. If they would have been out when I started this, I would have gone with the 400.

Dew-ette ahrma would be fun, if you had the bike for it. It’s fun running old bikes with a touch of new tech, when allowed.

I ride that EBR 1190 I converted to an RX. Only traction control, no ABS or anything so it's good for twins class and others.

Thinking of doing this wrap to it:usa: 'Murica!

That would be bad ass. Looks real good. :smokin:
Got out for some practice today. Cold. Snowing. Raining. Blowing. Still a great day with some awesome tutors. Ready to rock for next weekend's comp.

We've got 5 days of rain coming here in So Cal so most of us sissys with street bikes stay home.

Then an ad pops up:

BRAND NEW 2018 DRZ400 SuperMotos for $5999?! Dear Lord my savior, help me avoid adding another bike to the garage:rolleyes:
Footage from our local trails Sunday.

We just had 3-4 days here, finally dried up today.

Nice, you guys always look like you are having fun :smokin:

Set out to head up Kitt Peak, road closed to the public and gated off? Not sure why, feel free to clue me in if anyone knows. It was during published open hours.

edit: (https://www.noao.edu/outreach/press/pr02/pr0206_print.html)...

Tried to console myself riding around the broken pavement of Saguaro NP, but it didn't work. Heading back up Catalina Hwy tomorrow.

All national parks here are closed because of the Kung Flu.
