Is the steering wheel kicking back when you turn it hard to one side? Is there any clicking or poping when you do this? Are you running on loose surface such as gravel, mud, dirt or on pavement?
Sounds to me like you are doing this on pavement and the wheel u-joints are binding or are worn out. My Dodge 4x4 gets real mad at me when turning on pavement in 4wd with no locker, hard to turn and it kicks back. My Jeep that is locked front gets down right mad if I try to drive in 4wd on pavement..
If the wheel is kicking back: wheel u-joints are maxed out when turing and you need to adjust your turn stops.
If clicking and poping, wheel joints are worn out and need to be replaced.. ENJOY
If running on pavement in 4wd STOP NOW !!!
