Modified some small tie downs for the rear
Took off the 2 bolt brackets and made some new single bolt ones out of stainless
Then just put them where bolts already where
Now I can ratchet strap stuff down for extended trips
Went to famous reading off-road February 17th
Only been once before did some exploring to check out the place.
It was cold snow and icy in spots. The nittos didn't perform well in this weather the pit bulls definitely bit better in the loose stuff. But the extra ground clearance helps well see maybe they will break in.
My brother and I have considered trying to wheel some of the spots in New England.
Just seems like a pain to get info and access. Seems like you have to know people. But the terrain looks awesome.
I ran my spare tire like that on my yj for a few years. I built the back into a trunk under it basically. Really easy in and out with the tailgate.
Visibility was good.
Probably the best way to run it if you don't care about rear passengers.
My brothers is still in that spot. No plans to move it. Both were 37 inch tires.
Sent the power steering pump out get checked and rebuild since it wasnt making almost any psi. Not its good steering is almost perfect just need a diffrent pittman arm witch ill just make one day. Did a fuel fill and moved the spare tire. Next will be tail gate such down winch and rear sway bar. Need to look into getting the shocks rebuild there leaking and not tuned right.
Started on a tailgate
Couldnt cut up a cj7 one so just something simple from crap laying around.
Still fighting a run running issue
Started with a P0101 mass air flow with a P0327 knock sensor
Changed that mass air flow still running ruff with a p0327 ??
