on A typical cv the ujoints with break cv and often the yoke and strap on transfercase And also carry a seal when you swap yokes on the transfercase And impact to remove the nut. Hope the threads are fine on the out put shaft etc.

On flange style still taking out the cv but your probably not bending the flange or shearing the bolts. It takes up some drive line length so not good on super short applications. Just my experience.

Shoot, I'd forgotten all about your build. I'm glad to see some updates.

H8DWINGS, flanges especially on the axle end offer a little more protection when they contact rocks. The round flange tends to take a beating better than a yoke. Breaks fewer u-joints

It’s a poor man’s electrical distribution block. Kind of like an SPOD. It has relays and shit in it. Going to use it to control the ARB‘s and the swaybar. Possibly some extra lights if I grab some of the shelf in the garage.

Well we put the Airtex 1S4219 transfer case switch in, and it said the case was always in 4wd. So I ordered the dorman switch 600-506 from Summit and it worked perfect. Not sure what the difference is. Dorman pictured on the right. Bottom pic is Airtex part from Amazon.

Looks like it's coming along nicely. I really like those lights. They're still on my to-do list. How are you going to finish of the back end?

Mike wants to do a spare tire carrier/bumper. We will also lose the tow hitch. Beyond that I don’t know. I do know I need a new top or windows.

Picked up some half doors today. Missing one lock.

Does it matter what year TJ the doors are from to get a lock? I know with some of my GM products they change year-by-year.

I don’t really care about locking the vehicle I just don’t want a hole in the door.

Edit: apparently hard door and half door locks are different. And it looks like there’s some sort of break at 2000. My new doors are from a 99.
