SO I WELDED THEM IN AND HERE BE THE FINAL PRODUCT LOL . I DID TAKE IT OUT WITH THE BED CUT AND NOW THE TIRE WILL TRAVEL ABOVE THE HEIGHT OF THE BED ROUGHLY 6 INCHES . THE WAGONEER SPRINGS IN THE FRONT AND THE F-150 SPRINGS IN THE REAR FEEL VERY STABLE AND FLEX GREAT OH AND CHECK IT ......NEW TO ME TIRES :smokin:

NOW THAT ALL THAT IS FINISHED I SCORED A DANA 60 FRONT FOR $350.00 SO I TORE INTO THAT AND NARROWED IT 3 INCHES ON THE LONG SIDE ( TO MATCH MY CHASSIS LONG SIDE ) I ALSO SCORED A DANA 70U WITH A LOCKER THAT WILL GO IN THE REAR. I HAPPEN TO HAVE A SET OF 39.5 TSL ON SOME BART WHEELS THAT I WILL INSTALL WHEN I DO THE SWAP

off topic

you gotta link to you rig in sig im about to start a LQ4 th400 3.8 atlas build wondering how you like it, gearing and all
sorry i dont, it's still in the works and i dont want to do a build thread till it's closer. there are a few guys i know with 5:13 gears and 3.8 atlas and love it. my engine has changed quit a bit since i added that. now it is a 6.0 with perf. induction cnc ported head's and a nasty lil cam. my buddy that builds headers will be up in a month or so build them but it's comming along
Damn nice rig. Really clean for a guy that has horrible punctuation and grammar haha!

What's the next plans for it?
lookin good. keep us posted on the axle swap because im in the process of doing the same exact same combo on my 85 runner as we speak. maybe i need to start a build thread.:shaking:

The ultimate plan changed a bit. i changed from the dana 70U to the 14 bolt that was for the rear of my tube chassis rig. it was already geared, locked and diff cover. so why not. been busy ass hell lately and money is tight so not much progress. last week i sold a bunch of stuff i had and ordered up some stuff. rear u-bolt's, conversion flanges front and rear, chromo axles in the front, yukon joint's, drive flanges, WFO springless arm and top plate, all the cross over steering stuff, bronze upper bushing's for the 60, all the rear disc brake stuff. here is is a few pics of the rear disc's finished

i had a custom driver side spring perch made so i mocked it up and welded it up. i also bought 8* pinion shim's for the pass. side one for top and one for bottom. while i had the shim's in hand i bolted the together and machined a new hole to move the front axle one inch forward further then it was.i took an old allen bolt i had and cut it down to fit inside the factory center bolt hole and welded it in to center it on the housing. ( sorry no pics of this i can't find them) once this was done i then welded that shim to the housing so that it couldn't ever move lol then bolted the front axle under the front

while i was up at Copperhead Fab having him burn me out the front spring perch i also had him burn me some rear pearches for the 14 bolt. when i did the F-150 spring's it sat low in the rear so i had built a 1.250 lift block here at work ( out of 4130 lol ) so i had the new one built taller and longer. i also had some shock bracket's made that are like a gusset for the spring perch to the axle tube just to help it out. as of today thats where im at. i have a busy next couple of weeks but i'll get more updates when i can. the front axle shaft's, locker, bronze bushing's and other crap should be in today.
Nice rig, I wish my xcab was on a standard cab frame. Looks like a fun build, keep the progress and pics coming!

Pretty uneventfull weekend for working on the yota. the wifes suburban exploded the front axle so i had to fix it. but i did get a little bit of work done on the yota

got the super joints intalled in the cromo axles and started putting the knuckles together

i like it ill be watching this

interesting paint choice haha
:smokin:
Got the front gear's set up tonight. good thing i needed to tear it apart. the guy i got the front axle from said it was rebuilt. which didn't matter to me bacause i needed to regear and install the locker. but i pulled it all apart and the pinion had zero shim behind the race. the company that i work for sell a pinion depth check so i know from working with it that the most common is around .030 so i took a stab at it and dropped in .030. once that was done i double checked the pinion preload and it was WAY WAY off. at rest it had at least .020 slop before i added the front pinion shim so i redid it and ended up nailing that too. a coworker had a set of set up bearings for the carrier so i used those and guess what that was way the hell off too. so i got that all set and the pattern is dead on and .005 backlash. life is good. hope to get the front finished sunday. i'll press the bearings on and seal it up. last thing will be the diff cover from Coppehead fab :D then on to steering

got a few thing's done this weekend

tube door's painted and mounted

got the rear finished for the most part and the tires on and sitting on it's own weight

and from the rear. (dont mind the link's on the back they are for the chassis ) :D :flipoff2:

I also got the front gear's finished and the front driveshaft bolted in (damn that felt good) rear ubolts in, painted the jam's of the door's satin black and a few other odds and end's
