I am interested in swapping my 1.6L to propane(starting to smoke a little, needs rings). Looking for info on what kind of compression I can run(and keep it reliable), and what kind of system to use. I may make it turbo to help keep some power. What do ya'll think?

Thanks for the help anyways....

Couple of questions for anyone tho, is it a system like diesel trucks use, where you always have the same amount of propane going into the engine? Or is it metered?

Propane is a good high octane
fuel, just takes more to meet
the proper mix ratio, which means
less MPG, but it could be offset
by the lower cost of the fuel.

and to switch over it would be a
Metered flow through a propane carb
which is heated by the hot water from
the engine to convert liquid to vapor,
I'm not sure how the propane carb would
act with a turbo, I guess it depends on
if you suck through or blow through.
