Im not going to lie, ive thought about doing a pto/second pump setup for a non-drive hydo steer trailer. Maybe both ideas together would be kool. Sound complicated and maybe kinda heavy.

If i had the time i would mess with it.

I am confused at what you can use it for.. the trailer needs to be moving to drive the pto right? So unless you load your trailer while driving past it an harpooning the bitch, I cant see a winch being of use.

Am I missing something?

wooh i dont think thats at all what hes talking about.

i believe he's talking about using a pto on the front vehicle with a driveshaft connected to the trailers axle to provide power to the axles tires. like on a gama goat.

Ok since this was brought up I'll let my little secret thought out

check out this vid

Notice the rear output fromt the transaxle is rotating and not doing anything. Original plans were to have a D44 front axle back there, make a tool box and some seats and cage it out. I could hook up a PTO shaft for drive power and I could use quick connect hydro lines and steer it.

my buggy has a transaxle and the front output goes to a divorced 205. With it in Hi I could have a powered trailer that steers. Also I could put the t-case in Nuetral and still allow the driver to "drive" the trailer. Every seen a TRAILER DIG!!! I think it would be soo much fun and allow you to put your trailer where ever you wanted it on the trail.

I'll never get around to doing it but someone should

Imagine the possibilities.

Seriously though, A lot of the large shit spreader tankers have hydro steer on them. I swear I saw a couple with powered axles, but can't find any info on the internets.

Why dear it is a hydro powered, lined locked, disk braked, superswamper sporten usax6 double beadlocked shit spreader complete with led lights, cyro treated ring and pinions and sacrifice tubes on the lower portions of the chassis..

all systems are go, keep an eye on the rims though:flipoff2:

is a pricy way to go, but there is a 4x4 allterain man lift that runs a king pin 60 with a pto drive attached directly to the pinion.....

I remember it was Gray.... think it was roughly 56-58 WMS to WMS
