Would you believe that I'm still having problems with my frikken powersteering box.
Replaced the seal - but was still leaking like a seive....Pulled it apart again - this time removing the shaft completely.....

Just wondering how "shiny" & smooth your shaft was where the seal was.....mine has two shallow gouges & what looks like a burnt rubber that rings about the shaft <IMG SRC="smilies/crybaby2.gif" border="0"> .....Sound like yours?

Just hoping the shaft isn't stuffed....

I've started cleaning mine - but I'm a tad concerned about the actual gouges....
I'm probably going to finish cleaning it up & refit the sucker & then just start looking more seriously) for an alternative to swap in..
Chrysler Australia have said that they'll only sell basically the entire box not...for $1400aussie ($730greens)...not an option I'm keen on....
