Setting the ride height for 1/4 suspension has more to do with where the springs are mounted to the axle. As for springs I have always had Alcan Spring build custom leaf packs for me. Many years ago I used to cut up spring packs to make them. You will get much better performance from the Alcan one.
I have not built many 1/4 lip setups over the past couple of years. In the old days I think we were building one or two a month. With the price of coil over shocks these days we normally go that direction. Like mentioned before either way you are building a 4 link. There are advantages to going 1/4 lip. One being it is super easy to keep everything under the vehicle rather than having coil overs sticking through the floor. In other words easier to keep a rear sear if needed. I am not saying you can not do that with coil overs. I have done it. Also depending on what rig you are building you may have to either section the frame or back half the frame in order to get enough room for coilovers. Personally I would just put coilovers on the rig and not look back. Just a couple things to think about.
