Simple question about mounting a radiator

Should it be "isolated" from the mounts with rubber bushings? Or should it be solidly bolted to the frame?

The rig in question is a 1975 FJ40 with a stock radiator that is getting moved a bit

Stock is just a thin piece of "Sh^t/nylon & rubber cord and it works fine, as long as your spacing is clorrect it shouldn't be a problem. My enginer only flexes 0.25" during max rev...with that I have plenty of clearance even with the 19" fixed blade fan...that baby draws some air...if I was any lighter I might need a pilots license......

Put some thin sheet rubber between the mounts & the rad. That shoiuld take care of any vibration crackks that may form otherwise.

I like to sandwich it against a rubber or foam pad, or somehow let it float a little. Cowl or hatchback weatherstriping is pretty tough stuff.
