on my big trailer I throw and chuck of glulam on the ground and drive on that then on to the trailer.
On my good trailer I have a set of killer flip down ramps. If I were to build a setup I would for sure do the flip down style then you dont have to mess with them at all!

. Also, if you ever have to put a very long vehicle on your trailer, it will need to hang over the rear of the trailer. The fold up ramps would just get in the way.

under the deck is a cool idea. my fold ups sit straight up but can also fold down flat with the deck if your rig hung back and needed the clearance. I havent had a down side to it yet for myself cause I have two trailers so if I need to haul something long I just use the other.
