Is the rod on the rear end that goes to the rear brake proportion valve needed.
Can you just cut it off and set it somehow, or just make longer mounts???

You might want to run a search. I think this subject has been detailed. Good Luck!

I just took mine off, even after new brakes
and master the rears wouldn,t even try to
lock-up or slow the truck down when I try
too lock them up. The bigger the tires I
went the worse it got. The brakes work great
now. Just screw the steel line into the flex
(rubber line)line, Make a bracket to lower
the coupling down. Use at your own risk, its
only a suggestion that worked out for me.

The rod is neccesarry if you are actually wanting the P valve to function. Normally you just make a bracket to higher it the same amount you lifted it.
I am going to take this out myself, and do what was previously mentioned- but I was wondering if maybe anyone has tried to use a wilwood adjustable valve?
