Hmmm, no not really. Theirs is some kind of device that bolts on the back of the xfer case and looks like it would prevent use of the disc parking brake.

The notional drawing above is something that anyone could build, if they had a cooperative driveshaft builder.

Here's a better pic of Jess's driveline disconnect. Using the carrier bearing design.

It's not finished ini this pic though. He's still got shifter stuff to deal with.

In your drawing what would stop the drive shaft from bending there?
The slip yoke in the front end would not be able to be separated completely from the center section, or else it would fall apart. It would be separated enough to pull the splines out of the receiver, but not all the way apart.

Keep in mind, this thing is just meant for a few hundred revolutions here and there to make a turn etc.

Its just an idea, but it looks like HAD is already on the way to building one for production.

Toyfamily and I ran Jesse's first driveline disconnnect. It was similar to what you drew, but had the carrier bearing near the top of the driveline. It makes it a little difficult to mount and work around, so for Darren's (Rundog) buggy, which had a really short driveline, Jesse came up with a way to do it right off of the tcase.
