Built a new anti-wrap bar for the rear end today. My previous attempt was miserable...was just a nice pivot point for the axle. This one seems to be working much better so far. Write up on my web site...but here are the pics for the lazy:

i have found it is better to have your bottom bar and top bar meet up at the end instead of somewhere in the middle. also with that setup add a few connecting supports between the two. i have bent a few and that is what i have found. not knocking yours but just something to think about incase you bend that one and have to build another.

hehehee! It sure is quite an annoying drive down to Tucson to check out your rig every week...

Water Dog that looks good. Your jeep looks a lot like mine. I have an 8.8 instead and still run the 30 front. I am in the process of re doing my bar now. It wants to axle wrap so bad that it breaks the mount on the axle and it pulls so hard on my skid that it has bent it. I just straightened my skid and box it in with 1/4 in steel and now I am building a separate cross member for the front. I also used the stock shackle for the front mount. This time I am using a rear bracket that wraps all the way around my rear axle and I will gusset it.

Is that top pic at static rest, or is the axle fully drooped?

I understand that the bar and shackle should be at 90* at rest to be most effective. My first crack was not, guys pointed this out, I lengthened the bar, and sure enough, it appears to work better with shackle and bar at 90*
