Boulder, CO, August 28, 2007 – RIDE Motorsports teams up with Off-road shop Flatiron Fabrication and prepares for the XRRA US Finals in Colorado Springs.

RIDE Motorsports made the trip to Attica, IN for the XRRA Eastern finale at Bad Lands Off Road Park. While a return to the east brought with it high expectations, the racer was slowed by engine problems resulting in numerous stalls during each course. Lydia persevered and earned a 13th place finish. “The motor gave us problems all day, it was stalling on every incline and decline,” stated Lydia, “but we kept with it, the rest of the car performed well, the Toyo Tires hooked up great and we finished.” After all the dust settled, Lydia drove RIDE onto the bubble of a US Finals birth and then it was simply time to wait.

Back in Colorado, RIDE Motorsports has partnered with Boulder Off-road shop Flatiron Fabrication for the remainder of 2007 and 2008. Flatiron Fabrication will be refreshing and making the appropriate chances to the racer. The racer is currently being broken down to have it both in race and show ready condition for the XRRA US Finals, the Off Road Expo in Pomona and SEMA. “We look forward to working with RIDE and getting them back on the track. This is a tribute to the XRRA and the great series they run.“ Wade Cameron, the owner Flatiron Fabrication, noted, “This partnership gives us the opportunity to showcase the skills we have in house and help get our name out." RIDE Motorsports has also employed the services of B&M Transmission and Gear in Englewood, CO to alleviate some of the recurring drive train issues. “There is a lot of untapped power here,” Jeff Vik, General Manager of B&M stated, “we are really going to wake it up.” RIDE Motorsports prides itself on having the right people in place to be competitive and with the addition of these shops, the team looks to continue to make positive steps forward.

A week after racing at Bad Lands, the XRRA notified RIDE Motorsports that they had qualified for the XRRA US Finals through the Eastern Series. “I am really excited to get to race again this season.” Lydia said after receiving the call, “Making the finals was our goal all year and after an up and down season, it is great to have the opportunity to compete in this race.” The news of qualifying for the finals means RIDE Motorsports and Flatiron Fabrication will need to accelerate the current changes being made and have the car in peak condition in under a month. “We had planned some changes to the racer for 2008 and felt now was a good time to make those changes prior to the Off Road Expo and SEMA.” Team Manager Tom Guaraldo noted, “Making the finals just means we have to do it faster. Between the Flatiron Fabrication crew and our team, I know we have the right people to get the job done.” For RIDE Motorsports, getting the job done means a strong finish September 29th in Colorado Springs.

RIDE Motorsports would like to thank all their 2007 sponsors: Toyo Tires, Ramsey Winch, Rock Ware, Road Armor, Superior Axle & Gear, SOR4x4.com, Flatiron Fabrication, Engine Ice, Tom Wood Drive Shafts, GetItDirtyOffroad.com, K&N Filters, Fox Racing Shox, SPY Optic, Rock & Roll Offroad, Crane Hi Clearance, RockWare, Howe Steering, Dynatrac and OX USA.
