I see Yukon gear are they any good,
Yukon gear is complicated. They used to source from multiple manufacturers. Depending on what ratio and what axle, the gears could be made by totally different people. From Dana domestic to Chinese in my opinion you never really know what you’re going to get from Yukon. not sure if that has changed.

if I was building a Ford axle, I would probably see if they are available from Ford

Thank you, it is for a newer truck some places have them as a front and rear pkg, was going to a 4;11 gear
I tow heavy so wanted a good gear for the rear axle,

If that was a factory option gear ratio, it may be cheaper to get a takeout from a junkyard then to re-gear what you have.

My F-250 has 4.30 gears from the factory, so those should be available from Ford if you can't get 4.11s. For aftermarket gears, I like Revolution.

ever thought about using OEM Ford gears? i know you can get OEM Dana gears which are suppose to be much better than the aftermarket Dana SVL gears. think D60 reverse rotation 4.10 is 76159-5X. not sure what Sterling gears part number are

i will say the Yukon install kits i used were great. the USA Standard kits are similar but use Koyo instead of Timken and have some less selection. Amazon is a great place to get them cheap, they commonly are on sale

will probably want to decide if you want to use 10.25" gears or 10.5" gears as there pros and cons to both

unless its a Dana rear axle. im not super familair with dually axles

I think the Rear is a Dana 80,
UP Date
Just pulled the rear cover, now i know why the truck feels so damn low,
Dans Driveline in Las Vegas put the wrong Rear End Gear,
Paid for a 4;56 and they put a 4;88 in the truck,
See how it goes when i go there tomorrow with the original paperwork
If its not ford/oe/spicer just buy the cheapest you can find.

Small update, figured something, was up with the truck, on dirt roads the front would pull left to right pretty hard, and would not unlock from 4x4 very easy,
The shop had a 4:56 in the front axle and a 4;88 in the rear axle,

They put fixed the rear back to a 4;56, now just trying to break in the rear gear before a trip i have planned, this trip i will be towing a 5th wheel about 1400 miles, so i hope to get about 800 miles on the rear before i tow,
