gotta question. gonna be fabbin some sliders later this month. i know the type of steel im going to use i just have a question on where to mount them . these are going on a 93 ZJ. would it be better to just have the 90 degree bracket and mount them to two points on the unibody rail thing such as www.kevinsoffroad.com does or mount them to lower control arm mounts like many other aftermarket nerf bars do?? would this design work? also i would do rocker panel(sp?) seam pinch trimming to make them flush with bottom of rocker pannels(sp?). any comments welcome. or pics of ur fab work .

heres my thought...

I'd make that "extension arm" much bigger (thicker) than what you have portrayed in that pic, but I don't see why it wouldn't work good (this is assuming that subframe thing is good and stout, as I know nothing of that part).

Give yourself at least 3/4" room between the body and the slider, as they will flex upward a bit on a good impact, no matter how rigid you make them.

I bolted ones on my Ranger to the bodymount frame brackets.
