Some friends and I are going out to Sycamore Creek on Friday and would like to run rocker pass but we aren't sure where the start of the trail is? I believe you stay on the B-line highway past sycamore creek until it turns north then get off and head up the creek west toward sycamore creek, Is this correct?

Don't be so hard on yourself man, as long as you wheel it

Bullfrog, I hope you have a good sense of direction. I know I would get lost with out a GPS leading the way. Once you get to the main wash it's easy, it's just up to that point that every thing looks so unfamiliar. I've got a track if you have a Garmin.

No GPS yet, I wish I had the money for one. Oh well, my friends backed out. They saw some of the pics from previous runs and got scared, they didn;t want to damage their tacomas. I'm not going out by myself, so I'll have to wait until I can find some people who want to go (hopefully people that have been there and know where it is.) It doesn;t sound too hard to find, I've been to Sycamore creek alot, and have driven up the 87 a number of times. Talk to you all later.

I agree. I wheeled my truck for a long time with IFS, a lift, lockers, 33s, tcase gears, etc. Wheel it and have fun! You're doing more with your truck than 99.9% of the other owners of Tacomas.

Thanks Clifton I just wish I could make some money but since Sep 11 I have had a hard time doing that. My commission checks have just sucked since then. I need some cash so I can get going on the SAS!

That pic isn't from Rocker Panel Pass. That's Squeeze Rock Trail which most people commonly mistake for Rocker Panel Pass b/c of the obstacle in the above picture. Squeeze Rock Trail starts near the typical entrance to Sycamore. Rocker Panel Pass is farther north along highway 87, as Jay mentioned. The hardest part of rocker panel pass is easier than what's pictured above, so you could still go if you can get your friends to agree.

Mark Mason, where do I know you from? Just the board, or have we met? Sorry if I forgot, work, wife, and 3 kids take a toll on the old memory. Yes i'm sad to say I know longer have the toy. It's a long story but I sold it to someone from this board who saw the add, so it went to someone who would use it right. I have a HEEP now and I DO like it, but I still miss my Toy. Most of the guys I have gone on runs with don't hold it against me, but they still give me a hard time. Also everyone I know and like is on the Toy board so I would prefer to go wheeling with them.

Sean, hey where have you been? I haven't heard from you in a while. Anyways, I wasn't able to go on friday due to a recall on my wifes caravan on the seatbelt retractor. I had to take care of it ASAP for the little lady. Where did you move to, I remember you talking about a house.
