Long story, but decided to sell my buggy and build another Jeep. Found a good donor for a good price and didn't waste any time getting started. Plan is to stretch her legs to 110-112" and teach her to run faster.

04 Rubicon 609's with tru Hi9's, ORI's and a few other goodies.

A welcome home

Hey Jeff! What are you doing for axles? Keepin those 609s? I've been wanting to build a set for my wifes or sons rig.
Hey Trevor. I'm keeping the 609's. They're spidertrax housings, tru hi9 thirds, solid inner/outers and brakes are good.

Here's a couple close up shots of the axles.

Guys continue to make progress at the shop. My back is finally starting to feel better. Can actually tie my shoes now...

Back half cut off

BTF rear frame kit welded in

Body on. I left about half of the bumper hanging out from behind the tub.

Clever way of getting jack stands off the floor :smokin:
I looked and looked trying to see WTH you were talking about. Good find! And yes, it does work very well.

Got the motor pretty well set. Need to look at exhaust routes, control arm brackets, link clearances, etc. Will work on engine mounts and trans/tcase crossmember tomorrow. Trying to get a flat belly without too much tub work.

Got my harness shipped to Jim's Performance today.

Picked up an LS6 intake this morning :). Just hate the hood wouldn't clear the truck intake. Darn!!!

Plan is to run the ORI's. I've not ever wheeled them, and I understand there is a huge LOVE-HATE gap in the industry. Time will tell on where I stand.

Back injury 2 weeks before a 10 day vacation and three weeks of hell since coming back from vacation hasn't helped. Progress is being made though and happy to share pics.
