I think my jeep 2.5 is the same motor thats in the s10.
the tranny jeep used is a POS, ( no adapters for this motor either , novak or AA)I'm hoping the s10 has some better tranny options that I can adapt.
anyone here know or know an s10 site?
I'm also interested in s10 performance upgs, cam, heads etc

That S-10 site will help you. The manual trannys changed around 88-89 from a T-5 to an NV3500.

I received an email from novak, they say their working on adapters for the sm465, sm420,t18 and sm435. If I"m right s10 guys might be able to use these too

S10-4x4.com? HAHAHAHAHAH!!! If you are looking for spark plug wires to match your interior trim package, or to find the best wax to use on your truck, by all means, head on over there.

If you want answers, ask BadBowtie over on off-road.com He can tell you more than you want to know about S-10s.

2.5 is a 4 banger? right? 4.3 is the same as a small block.

Alright man. You have me confused. The 2.8 and the 4.3 are both V6 engines. The 4.3 has the same bellhousing bolt pattern as a small block. The 2.8 does not. The 2.5 IS in fact a 4 banger (says right in my Chilton's manual), so why would it have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as a small block?

the s10 bellhousing fits the amc
this guy used and s10 bh to adapt an sm420

"The bell housing used for this swap is the bell housing from an 1986 Chevy S-10 with a 2.8 V6 and a five speed. The hydraulic slave cylinder, pressure plate, throwout bearing, clutch release fork, and fork pivot ball from the S-10 are also used. The clutch disk to use is from a 83 Jeep CJ-7 with a 4 cyl engine. The original pilot bushing from the YJ can be used."

heres the whole article http://home.off-road.com/~moulton/smswap.htm
