I picked up a saginaw PS pump from and E150 with the serp belt. I'm going to be making a bracket for the PS pump and AC pump to mount it to my 4.0L OHV V6.

The thing I noticed is that the Pulley on the saginaw box is larger in Dia than the one on the factory crap pump. The pullies are not interchangable. The shaft hole would have to be bored on the original V6 pulley, to get it to fit on the Saginaw pump.

I know this larger DIA pulley will turn the pump slower. Would this fewer RPMS rotation make a difference in the performance of the pump? I'm a cheap bastard and don't want to get a Cardone pump that is the Sag replacement for the Ford whinney pump. The Regular Saginaw pumps are dime a dozen in the wheckers, found on Gm's and Fords. I Want to keep this simple.

I doubt if it'll make a noticeable difference...I'd run it, then deal with it later if necessary. I'm running a Delphi pump on a WildHorses bracket with a serp belt on my Ford Crate Motor:

I have no idea whether the pulley that I got is 'correct' or not. As long as it lines up, I'm happy.
