I was wheelin me 87 samurai the after I finished installing my spoa lift. I crawled over a fairly large tree in 4 low then i when to shift it in to 4 high it when to neutral instead and now want go it to 4 high, low , or 2wd. Does anybody know what this could be? Thanks

Shifter sheet is shot. Pull the shifter, insert long screwdiver, align slots, replace sheet with brass from Zor, reassemble.

Shifter
Q. Shifter problems/can't put it IN a gear or remove it from a gear.
A. Start with the shifter sheet. To remove it push down on retaining ring and turn CCW. Then pull shifter up/out. See vender list for new sheets, ALL VENDORS HAVE NEW SHIFT SHEETS

It's supper easy ! Just remove the transfer case fill plug and stick a bent screwdriver in the hole and push the range fork towards the front of the Samurai . You will then hear the reassuring click of it resetting . Then reinstall the full plug . It's as simple as that !
