Hey guies, ive been out of it for a while but after selling my '85 truck and parking my '84 runner, I now have a second runner. Just picked up a '91 with stock brush guard and swing away tire carrier. Its a V6 with around 170K and it good overall shape. I also know of an '85 truck in a local junkyard that i could scab any and every part needed to do SAS (i think). What do i need? If i bought or made the spring hannger kit could i just grab the front springs, axle and weld bolt it up? Do i need the front driveshaft from the '85? Transfer case? I want to do it as cheap as possible but with the least amount of hacking possible. Thanks!
Ok, searched faq for SAS and for solid axle swap and got no results.. also broused through the nicley orgainzed linky you gave me and did not see anything.. what now? thanks!
Laid off!!!??! crap man that sucks. I dont have an axle yet, but im pretty sure that Rathes has one. JUst was exsploring weather it would be cheaper to fix the ifs stuff thats broken, or do a axle swap with junkyard parts. Ive got the new runner at the shop and once the paint is done on the bimmer (soon) im gonna pull this in and work on it. I figured i would start collecting parts now though. Are you gonna be at Lee's new house when he moves in on the first?
