Handling is going to depend on a lot of factors. Leaf, coil, coilovers, tire size, spring rates, wheel base, track width, gearing, sway bars, etc, etc, etc;
I had the same suspension set-up you have now and I can tell you that towards the end of the IFS days the handling sucked. Major body roll, shitty braking, steering that was looser than a $2 whore. It handles better & more predictably now ith the solid axle & crossover steering.
My WB is stretched to 110"+ and I am running a 70"ish track. Both help handling. 35" tires.
