Thanks for the help... I'm mainly trying to find what headers/manafolds pepole have used to fit in the yota frame rails...
search for my name ;)
I did one in a 80 toy and hatted it. It was'nt worth the hell to put it in. The next one I did was a 4.3 v6 in a 85 toy. Fits perfect. Would deffinatly would go that way again. With the V8 you have to hack up alot of your core sopport, which I did'nt like. Good luck and get us some pics.

I did but all your image links are dead. I've got the motor in, try and get some pix tomorow.
I did a sb350 swap in a 3rd gen 4 runner--can't find it right now....

did the 350 feel like it had quite a bit more power than the 4.3? other then hacking the core support what was so bad about it? (i got rid of my core support)
There was nothing really bad about besides the core support. It was just a tight fit for everything. Are you going to be smoging your truck?

2 bad pix so far... engine is getting a 278 crane cam, edelbrock intake and a gear drive set.

Do i see IFS on this rig? If so all i can say is carry spare parts you will need them. Anyhow block hugger headers are the most common that people use but in my opinion of the 3 SBC yota builds ive been a part of id say that getting the advanced adapters header is well worth the money. They make a set of headers just for this swap. Pricey but worth it.

O and im not sure if you have one or not but a 3in body lift makes this swap much easier but i know a lot of guys dont like running that much body lift. Just my .02
