My buddy is contemplenting on buying a 1991 full size blazer, it has a 350 EFI in it. He is going to run 44-47" tires, and wants to his 454 in it. Is it possible to just change the intake manifold to accept the throttlebody and change the injector, since the wiring is all there? Would something else need to be done, or is it even possible at all to run EFI on this 454 with the 350 setup?

The 454 requires a larger throttle body for the amount of flow needed. Everything else should work, even the distributor

The older 454 TBI used a regular manifold with a goofy adapter. The Edelbrock manifold does away with the adapter. :D

Not sure about the ECM, but nearly every other sensor is the same. The throttle body is bigger.

Best bet is to find a 454 TBI setup complete if you can. I haven't seen any numbers out of the aftermarket to justify the relatively high cost of TBI stuff, so just run it stock and see how you like it. :D
