Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to find out what other groups might be running the Rubicon this year. Don't want to run it solo but having difficulties finding out potential resources and other groups that might have a run scheduled.

Thanks!

Where do you live? I’m planning a couple trips this year. I try to plan around the times of the others and big events. I like doing the trail at my rate and not having to wait for all the traffic that can happen.

I live in TX. I was targeting early Sept 2023 sometime after Labor Day. Was aiming for Sept 9-10 or somewhere near there. Please let me know if this might align with any of your scheduled trips. Thanks.

I'm retired and go up 4-5 times a year on planned trips and a few more if asked to go short notice, I live hour and half away from Loon Lake ( trail head) Let me know when it gets closer but i usually go around labor day with 3 other rigs.

Sounds good and thanks for the reply! We were trying to avoid the labor day weekend just to avoid the traffic (weekend after) but may need to move it up if that's the only time that we can coordinate. 3-4 rigs sounds like the perfect size group. Thanks again

Like you mentioned 2 days should be the minimum of hitting the rubicon. Take your time and enjoy the sights. There’s also the ftr loop that takes some time to.that’s part of the rubicon too. If you enjoy hiking and sight seeing there’s parts of the trail that are pretty cool to see that you can’t drive to due to trail being rerouted. I’ll keep my eyes on this thread. When that date gets closer I’ll see if I can swing it. I’m near Chico ca about 4 hours away.

My group (4-8 rigs) usually runs in mid August, but we are thinking of doing it mid September this year because of everyone's schedule. Keep me up to date, I'm sure one of us can work something out with you.
